Renewable energy technician
Renewable energy technicians install, commission, and maintain generation and storage equipment across solar, wind, hydro, biogas, and battery sites. Because the technologies differ, the constant is the technician's ability to read schematics, follow commissioning procedures, and fault-find across mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Sites are often remote and visited on a route rather than staffed continuously.

- Apply isolation and lockout procedures before working on energised or stored-energy systems.
- Record service history, spares used, and outstanding defects in the maintenance system.
