Occupation
Mineral processing operator
Mineral processing operators run the crushing, grinding, flotation, leaching, and dewatering circuits that turn mined rock into a saleable concentrate or metal. The work is a continuous balancing act between throughput, recovery, and reagent use, guided by control screens, sampling results, and what the circuit looks and sounds like. Plants run around the clock and are noisy, dusty, and wet.
