Landscape architect

  1. Survey and analyse a site's soils, drainage, existing planting, levels, and access before designing.

  2. Prepare concept plans, planting schemes, and grading and drainage layouts.

  3. Produce construction drawings and specifications for hard landscaping, planting, and irrigation.

  4. Consult with clients, planners, ecologists, and community groups and adjust the design in response.

  5. Coordinate with civil and structural engineers where landscape sits over structures or services.

  6. Inspect landscape works on site and check plant stock, levels, and finishes against the drawings.
