Construction project manager
Construction project managers are accountable for delivering a build to the agreed scope, programme, budget, and quality. They procure and manage subcontractors, run the programme, control cost and change, and keep the client and design team informed. The job swings between office work on contracts and cost reports and time on site chasing progress and resolving problems.

- Plan and maintain the construction programme and reforecast it as work and weather change it.
- Procure subcontractors and suppliers, review their pricing, and administer their contracts.
- Chair progress meetings with the client, design team, and trade contractors.
- Track cost against budget, assess variations and claims, and report the financial position.
- Enforce site health-and-safety, quality, and environmental requirements with the site team.
- Resolve design queries, delays, and interface problems between trades before they stop work.
