What the work involves
- Design or select manipulators, end effectors, fixtures, and guarding for a cell.
- Program robot motion, sequences, and vision or sensor routines and simulate reach and cycle.
- Integrate robots with PLCs, conveyors, and safety systems and validate the interlocks.
- Debug positioning, gripping, and perception failures on the physical equipment.
- Carry out risk assessment and safety validation for the automated cell.
- Document cell configuration, program versions, and maintenance requirements.

- An accredited bachelor's degree in robotics, mechatronics, mechanical, electrical, or control engineering.
- A mechatronics or automation technology diploma plus integration experience.
- A postgraduate robotics degree taken after a general engineering or computing degree.
- Progression from an automation technician or controls role into robotics engineering.
