  1. Set site priorities and agree production, quality, and maintenance plans with department heads

  2. Review performance data on safety, output, scrap, and downtime and act on the exceptions

  3. Approve capital and staffing proposals and track spending against the site budget

  4. Chair incident, audit, and corrective-action reviews and sign off the resulting actions

  5. Represent the site to customers, auditors, regulators, and corporate leadership

  6. Develop supervisors and managers and manage succession across the site
