Calibration technician
Calibration technicians check and adjust measuring instruments and test equipment so that the numbers a plant relies on can be trusted. They work to documented procedures traceable to national measurement standards and record the as-found and as-left condition of every instrument. When equipment is found out of tolerance they help assess what work may have been affected.

Calibrate gauges, sensors, scales, and test equipment against traceable reference standards
Record as-found and as-left readings and issue calibration certificates and labels
Adjust or repair instruments within scope and route the rest for external service
Maintain the calibration register and recall schedule so nothing runs past due
Raise and support impact assessments when an instrument is found out of tolerance
Keep the calibration laboratory environment and reference standards under control
