Packaging operators run the equipment that fills, seals, labels, cartons, and palletises finished product. They keep the line fed with packaging materials, clear stoppages, and check that codes, labels, and pack counts are correct. Accuracy matters because a labelling or coding error can force a batch to be held or recalled.

What the work involves
Set up and change over filling, sealing, labelling, and coding equipment between products
Load film, cartons, labels, and other packaging consumables and clear jams
Verify date codes, batch codes, labels, and pack counts against the specification
Check seal integrity, fill weights, and pack presentation at set intervals
Palletise, wrap, and label finished goods and stage them for despatch
Complete line clearance and hygiene checks between products and record them
