What the work involves
- Complete a start-of-shift truck inspection covering forks, tyres, brakes, and battery or fuel.
- Unload and load trailers, checking pallet condition and quantities against paperwork.
- Put stock away to designated racking locations and scan the movement into the system.
- Pick pallets for outbound orders and stage them in the correct dock lane.
- Keep aisles, charging areas, and dock plates clear and report damaged racking.
- Recharge or refuel the truck and hand over outstanding tasks to the next shift.

- An operator training and evaluation course, commonly delivered by an employer or a training provider before an operator is authorised to drive.
- Direct entry into warehouse work with truck training added once basic duties are learned.
