Occupation

Inventory control analyst

Inventory control analysts keep the recorded stock position matching the physical one and advise on how much of each item a business should hold. The job is part data work in inventory and ERP systems, part investigation on the warehouse floor when the numbers disagree. Decisions here trade off the cost of holding stock against the risk of running out.
