Occupation

Dental hygienist

Dental hygienists assess oral health, remove plaque and calculus, and deliver preventive treatment and education. In several jurisdictions hygienists can practise with a degree of independence rather than only under a dentist's direct supervision. The work is repetitive by nature, close-up, and physically constrained. Posture and hand health matter over a career.
