Combat engineer

Builds, repairs, and removes battlefield infrastructure (bridges, roads, defensive positions, and obstacles), and handles demolitions and explosive hazards. Combat engineers also support domestic tasks such as flood barriers, route clearance, and disaster recovery. The trade combines construction skills with soldiering.
