About this practice suite
This suite prepares candidates for space operations and satellite control aptitude selection in the aviation, aerospace, air traffic, and airports sector with 5 skill areas: multitasking and monitoring, situational judgment, numerical reasoning, attention and concentration and critical thinking. Every question was written by Novus editors for this suite — none are taken from live or leaked exams — and the full bank holds 52 scored questions across three modes, plus 8 reserve questions used to vary repeat attempts. Answer keys never ship to the browser: your answers are scored server-side, and results stay on your device.
Skills this suite practises
- Multitasking and monitoring — Tracking multiple streams, priorities, alerts, and changing conditions.
- Situational judgment — Evaluating workplace responses against role-relevant principles.
- Numerical reasoning — Arithmetic, fractions, percentages, ratios, rates, estimation, word problems, and number relationships.
- Attention and concentration — Sustained focus, selective attention, and accuracy under time pressure.
- Critical thinking — Evaluating evidence, assumptions, arguments, credibility, and alternative explanations.
Sample questions from the guided bank
Two of the 10 guided-practice questions, shown exactly as they appear in a session. Answers and explanations are not printed here — keys stay on the server — so open guided practice to answer them and see how you did.
During a pass, battery voltage trending down fast, payload heater current high, and a noncritical camera glitch alarm appear together. Best first priority?
- A. Protect power/thermal margins; shed nonessential loads per procedure
- B. Fix the camera cosmetic glitch first
- C. Ignore all alarms until end of pass
- D. Reboot ground displays only
Two consoles disagree on spacecraft mode while a command window is closing. Best?
- A. Uplink random commands
- B. Stop commanding; reconcile vehicle state from trusted telemetry before any irreversible command
- C. Trust the louder console
- D. Extend the pass by wishing
Practice modes and timing
Guided practice is untimed-feeling and instructional; the mini-test is a short timed check; the full simulation mirrors a complete sitting. All three draw on separate question sets, so moving up a mode never repeats what you practised.
| Mode | Questions | Duration | Start |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guided practice | 10 | 15 minutes | Open |
| Timed mini-test | 12 | 18 minutes | Open |
| Full simulation | 30 | 45 minutes | Open |
