What you already know

The skill map lists what there is to work on and lets you mark each thing as known, or as shaky. Nothing is checked and nothing is scored. The site takes your word for it, and the only thing your answers change is the order in which it suggests things.

Novus Learn does publish real assessments with a written method behind them. This is not one of those, it measures nothing, and nothing you record here reaches them.

Marking something known means the site can suggest what builds on it. Marking it shaky means the opposite: it will not present the next thing as ready, and it will offer the shaky one back to you instead.

That distinction is the reason the middle option exists. Treating unsure as done would tell you something is available when you have just said you are not confident with what it rests on.

Course modules declare what has to come first, and those are the prerequisites written by whoever wrote the course. The reason for each suggestion is shown next to it, so you can check the site's reasoning rather than take it on trust.

Aptitude constructs and cognitive skills declare no prerequisites, so the map treats them as places you can start from. That is an honest gap rather than an omission: deciding that one of them requires another would be a claim nobody here has established.

What you tick is stored in this browser. Clearing site data removes it. If you have an account and asked for your progress to be backed up, it travels with the rest of your progress, because re-answering it on a second device is exactly the friction an account is meant to remove.
