Installing and working offline

Novus Learn is a progressive web app: your browser can install it to the home screen or desktop, where it opens in its own window. There is no store, no download, and no account — it is the same site, with an icon.

• Anything already on the device: saved projects, notes, flashcards, quizzes, guided lessons, and your practice history.
• Pages you have already visited, served from the offline cache.
• Exports, which are built locally in the first place.

• Opening a new source: a Wikipedia search, a URL you paste, a site index, a journal search, or a dictionary lookup.
• Starting or submitting a formal practice attempt, which is scored on the server.
• A page you have never opened before.

If you know you will be offline, open what you need first and download the study guide for anything you intend to work through. A PDF or plain-text pack needs nothing at all to read.
