My Learning and your local data

What the dashboard shows, where each kind of record is stored, and how to back it up before you lose it.

The dashboard

My Learning is the one page that reads across everything you have done on this device: what to pick up next, progress across the sections you have used, your generated projects, career plans, and a local backup control. It exists because progress here is spread across several areas and nothing on a server is joining them up.

Where things are actually stored

  • Preferences, consent, saved topics, and recent activity — localStorage.
  • Generated projects, uploads, transcripts, edits, and study progress — IndexedDB.
  • Practice attempts, cognitive-skills history, reasoning results, puzzle progress, career answers and results — all of it in this browser, none of it on a server.

How you lose it

Clearing site data, private browsing, aggressive browser cleanup, storage eviction under disk pressure, a different browser profile, or a different device. There is no account, so there is no copy to restore from. This is the trade the product makes: nothing about you exists anywhere else, and nothing about you can be recovered.

Back it up

Use the export controls in each section, or the local backup control on the dashboard, before you clear anything. Exports are ordinary files on your own machine, so they survive everything above.
