Flashcards and spaced repetition
Study source-supported cards with a local review schedule that never leaves the device.
Where cards come from
Open Flashcards from any topic. Each card is generated from this revision's claims: definition cards quote a defining sentence, cloze and date cards blank one source term out of a real statement, and relationship cards ask how two source concepts connect. The answer is always taken from the retrieved text, so nothing is invented. A card marked “Direct source answer” quotes the article; “Source-derived” means it was assembled from labelled structure.
Reviewing
Tap the card or press Space to reveal the answer and its evidence, then rate your recall as Again, Hard, Good, or Easy. A local spaced-repetition schedule brings hard cards back sooner and eases well-known cards further out. The count of cards due now is shown above the card.
Local only
- Review schedules live in this browser's IndexedDB, never on a server.
- “Reset local progress” clears the schedule for this topic.
- “Download flashcard snapshot” exports the revision-pinned cards with source attribution.
When the deck is empty
A sparse revision may not provide enough claim-backed terms for safe cards. Novus Learn shows an empty state and links to the source rather than filling the deck with guesses.
