The Cognitive Skills Lab

Untimed, explanation-first practice for named reasoning, memory, attention, and speed skills.

Applies to Novus Learn 0.1.0

What it is

Each lab covers one named skill — working memory, perceptual speed, deductive reasoning, and so on — grouped into categories. A lab explains the skill, shows what a question of that type is really asking, and then gives you practice with the reasoning shown rather than hidden.

It is educational practice. It is not an assessment of you, it does not produce a score you can put on anything, and nothing here is normed against a population.

How practice is scheduled

There is no schedule imposed on you. Work a lab as often as you like; the page records attempts per skill, your latest and best accuracy, and a practice band that describes where you currently are. All of it is stored in this browser.

Progress and downloads

The progress page shows your history per skill. The downloads page turns that history into a PDF, printable HTML, a spreadsheet, plain text, or JSON — every format carrying the full history, one row per skill and one row per attempt, not a summary of what is on screen.

If your history disappears

It is device-local, like everything else here. Private browsing, clearing site data, browser cleanup, or a different profile removes it, and there is no account copy to restore. Export before you clear anything you want to keep.
