Career Discovery and the Matcher

How matching works, why your answers never leave the device, and what an occupation profile contains.

Three questionnaires

  • Quick — the short version, for a first sense of direction.
  • Full — longer, and correspondingly more specific.
  • Career change — framed for someone already working, with what you want to keep and what you want to leave behind.

Scoring happens in your browser

Your answers are scored on your device by a deterministic, versioned engine — the same answers always produce the same result, and the version is recorded with it. Nothing is sent to a server, so there is no profile of you anywhere, and a result you delete is gone.

What a match is, and is not

A match is a starting point for reading, not a verdict. It reflects the interests, values, and work contexts you described, which is a genuine signal and a partial one. It is not careers advice, not a prediction, and not a selection decision about anybody. Test and reasoning scores are deliberately excluded from the calculation.

Inside an occupation profile

Each published occupation carries day-to-day duties, entry routes and training, work contexts, interest tags, the aptitude constructs it draws on, related occupations, links to official sources, and — where it is available — labour-market context clearly marked as not part of the match.

Saving, comparing, and planning

Save occupations to return to, compare two side by side, and build a roadmap of learning and exploration milestones. All three live in this browser, and all three export.
