About this practice suite
This suite prepares candidates for programming logic selection in the technology, software, data, ai, and cybersecurity sector with 5 skill areas: logical reasoning, abstract reasoning, numerical reasoning, attention and concentration and technical reasoning. Every question was written by Novus editors for this suite — none are taken from live or leaked exams — and the full bank holds 52 scored questions across three modes, plus 8 reserve questions used to vary repeat attempts. Answer keys never ship to the browser: your answers are scored server-side, and results stay on your device.
Skills this suite practises
- Logical reasoning — Conditional logic, syllogisms, ordering, grouping, argument structure, and constraint problems.
- Abstract reasoning — Inferring rules from shapes, symbols, matrices, and non-verbal patterns.
- Numerical reasoning — Arithmetic, fractions, percentages, ratios, rates, estimation, word problems, and number relationships.
- Attention and concentration — Sustained focus, selective attention, and accuracy under time pressure.
- Technical reasoning — Applied technical principles, diagrams, tools, systems, measurements, and troubleshooting.
Sample questions from the guided bank
Two of the 10 guided-practice questions, shown exactly as they appear in a session. Answers and explanations are not printed here — keys stay on the server — so open guided practice to answer them and see how you did.
Trace: x = 3; while x > 0: x = x - 1. How many loop body executions?
- A. 2
- B. 3
- C. 4
- D. 0
Predicate: (n % 2 == 0) AND (n > 10). Which value satisfies?
- A. 9
- B. 11
- C. 12
- D. 10
Practice modes and timing
Guided practice is untimed-feeling and instructional; the mini-test is a short timed check; the full simulation mirrors a complete sitting. All three draw on separate question sets, so moving up a mode never repeats what you practised.
| Mode | Questions | Duration | Start |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guided practice | 10 | 15 minutes | Open |
| Timed mini-test | 12 | 18 minutes | Open |
| Full simulation | 30 | 45 minutes | Open |
