About this practice suite
This suite prepares candidates for call-centre agent selection in the sales, marketing, customer service, and contact centres sector with 5 skill areas: customer-service judgment, situational judgment, attention and concentration, data checking and clerical accuracy and verbal reasoning. Every question was written by Novus editors for this suite — none are taken from live or leaked exams — and the full bank holds 52 scored questions across three modes, plus 8 reserve questions used to vary repeat attempts. Answer keys never ship to the browser: your answers are scored server-side, and results stay on your device.
Skills this suite practises
- Customer-service judgment — Service recovery, communication, escalation, and policy application.
- Situational judgment — Evaluating workplace responses against role-relevant principles.
- Attention and concentration — Sustained focus, selective attention, and accuracy under time pressure.
- Data checking and clerical accuracy — Matching, filing, coding, record checking, and identifying discrepancies.
- Verbal reasoning — Drawing conclusions from written information without relying on outside assumptions.
Sample questions from the guided bank
Two of the 10 guided-practice questions, shown exactly as they appear in a session. Answers and explanations are not printed here — keys stay on the server — so open guided practice to answer them and see how you did.
A call-centre opening script is most useful when it:
- A. Confirms identity/context warmly without sounding robotic
- B. Is read so fast the customer cannot speak
- C. Skips verification to save AHT
- D. Starts with a hard sell
Hold time may exceed two minutes. Best educational practice?
- A. Mute silently with no update
- B. Ask permission to hold, give a reason, and check back at intervals
- C. Drop the call to protect average handle time
- D. Play hold music while browsing social media without returning
Practice modes and timing
Guided practice is untimed-feeling and instructional; the mini-test is a short timed check; the full simulation mirrors a complete sitting. All three draw on separate question sets, so moving up a mode never repeats what you practised.
| Mode | Questions | Duration | Start |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guided practice | 10 | 15 minutes | Open |
| Timed mini-test | 12 | 18 minutes | Open |
| Full simulation | 30 | 45 minutes | Open |
