About this practice suite
This suite prepares candidates for aon-style assessment familiarization selection in the commercial assessment-provider familiarization sector with 5 skill areas: situational judgment, multitasking and monitoring, processing speed, working memory and attention and concentration. Every question was written by Novus editors for this suite — none are taken from live or leaked exams — and the full bank holds 52 scored questions across three modes, plus 8 reserve questions used to vary repeat attempts. Answer keys never ship to the browser: your answers are scored server-side, and results stay on your device.
Skills this suite practises
- Situational judgment — Evaluating workplace responses against role-relevant principles.
- Multitasking and monitoring — Tracking multiple streams, priorities, alerts, and changing conditions.
- Processing speed — Completing simple cognitive operations accurately and efficiently.
- Working memory — Holding, updating, and manipulating short sequences, rules, or instructions.
- Attention and concentration — Sustained focus, selective attention, and accuracy under time pressure.
Sample questions from the guided bank
Two of the 10 guided-practice questions, shown exactly as they appear in a session. Answers and explanations are not printed here — keys stay on the server — so open guided practice to answer them and see how you did.
Style-familiarization (not official Aon): two chat alerts—VIP complaint and routine password reset—arrive together. Best first move?
- A. Ignore the VIP to finish personal browsing
- B. Close both without reading
- C. Reset passwords for everyone publicly
- D. Acknowledge the VIP issue quickly, then queue the routine reset
Monitoring practice: panels show green/amber/red. Amber means “attention soon.” Best response to new amber while finishing a green task?
- A. Never look at amber
- B. Note amber, finish critical micro-step on green if safe, then address amber
- C. Force all panels red
- D. Leave the station
Practice modes and timing
Guided practice is untimed-feeling and instructional; the mini-test is a short timed check; the full simulation mirrors a complete sitting. All three draw on separate question sets, so moving up a mode never repeats what you practised.
| Mode | Questions | Duration | Start |
|---|---|---|---|
| Guided practice | 10 | 15 minutes | Open |
| Timed mini-test | 12 | 18 minutes | Open |
| Full simulation | 30 | 45 minutes | Open |
