What stays on your device

The Reasoning Challenge needs no account and builds no profile of you. Every attempt — your answers, marked questions, progress, and final score — is stored in your browser’s IndexedDB on the device you used. Your attempt historyis read from that same local store, and each attempt has a “delete from this device” control. Clearing your browser’s site data also removes everything; there is no server copy of your history to ask us to erase, and no way for another device to see it because nothing syncs.

What the server processes

Scoring has to happen on the server, because answer keys never ship to the browser. When you start a form, the server issues a random attempt ID and ownership token and records a session deadline for timed play. When you submit, it checks the token, scores your answers against server-only keys, and returns your correct count and percentage. These endpoints are rate-limited, and score responses carry no-store cache headers so they are not retained by intermediaries. The server does not link attempts to a name or email — there is none to link.

What is never done with your score

• Career matching never sees it. Career Matcher strips reasoning-score inputs at the engine level; a puzzle result cannot influence career suggestions.
• Result pages are private. Results and history pages are excluded from search indexing (noindex) and are only reachable on the device that made the attempt.
• No selling, no sharing. There is no score database to sell or share — scores exist on your device, not ours.

Analytics and cookies

Sitewide consent controls apply here exactly as on the rest of Novus Learn: you can review or change what is allowed at cookie preferences, and the site’s general privacy policy covers everything not specific to assessments. Nothing in the challenge depends on marketing consent — you can decline all non-essential categories and every form still works.
